This is what happens you you push a plane to fly in a manner that it was not designed!
luckly one of the cool parts about Radio control flying is no one was hurt in the process.

  • cheap plane

  • Bad luck!

  • Is it just me, or does it seem as if there are a lot of videos made in this same parking lot, where scale planes are flown beyond thier limits resulting in wings snapping off mid-flight?

  • @devildog881966 Rubber bands might have been the norm in the previous century, but these days wings are screwed on. You see any rubber bands on the plane at the beginning of the video? There's also no castor oil or any other kind of oil on an electric powered plane, which this happens to be. :P

  • Prolly had too many G's on the thing.

  • Even the dog was saying "FUCK!!"

  • What happened is your a newb.

  • Del Mar, California?

  • Why do i have a feeling this plane is carrying drugs across the border??

  • Rubber bands are the norm for holding wings on to fuselages. Very rarely do they succumb to dry rot -- as you've mentioned. However, they DO have a nasty tendency to succumb to Castor oil (fuel lubricants) and they tend to stretch too far after a period of time. That's the reason that you ALWAYS use fresh bands for every flight period.
