http://www.bhf.org.uk/els When someone is having a heart attack, has serious bleeding, choking, is unconscious or in cardiac arrest, knowing what to do to help keep them alive until professional help arrives can give their chances of survival a significant boost.
CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), taught in secondary schools as part of ELS, might double a casualty's chances of survival from a cardiac arrest.

Brilliant.. Every child in school should be trained in ELS. Chest compressions alone are better than nothing at all.... even if you dont want to 'kiss' them.

I agree, I meant more as in a compliment ~ like they will be "diamonds" if they do it.
Make sense?

@propadomz i think @thestjohnlady was suggesting that if you act to help someone in an emergency then you are a star in their eyes. It's not about being famous but being a star for doing the right thing.
Your absolutely right though - it's all about the person that needs Emergency Life Support (ELS).

@thestjohnlady1 I don't think its really the situation where you'd be thinking about being famous... I'd care more about the person in need of ELS...
