Japanese hair straightening, also known as thermal reconditioning. It is a very popular process from Japan that promises to turn curly hair straight. With thermal reconditioning, your hair becomes silky, smooth, and shiny.

This process is different from that of using relaxers to smooth out the hair. Chemicals are applied, the hair is ironed, piece by piece, and then rinsed and blow dried. The procedure takes a good few hours, depending on the length, thickness and condition of one's hair.

Before the treatment, hairstylists need to diagnose the hair accurately, then decide which products to use, adjust their flat-iron technique and determine processing time.

After the treatment, the hair becomes more manageable and looks healthier. To get the best result of thermal reconditioning, it is crucial to use the right products, the right technique, and most importantly, to choose the right hairstylist with extensive knowledge and experience of this treatment.

  • I had the straight perm there two years ago and really liked it. Price was reasonable.

I'm think of getting a digital perm. Do you offer that service and how much? Can you show some pictures or video of digital perm that you have done? Thanks?

  • @ReflectiveFuture

Yes, we do Digital perms too, I actually have digital perm on my hair exactly a year ago and I don't think i need another one soon, it really works well on my hair, I really love it.

  • wondering if you actually cut/style curly hair as well?

  • @450hsa

Yes, hair cut is only $20 on top.

  • @450hsa

  • I don't recommend this type of straightening treatment, it has harmful chemicals that can severely damage the hair, that's why I prefer the flat iron which is safer and cause less damage, I use a good one, it's the Karmin G3 Salon Pro that has tourmaline ceramic plates which leaves the hair soft, shiny, healthy and very straight.

  • Hi, amazing results, I was wondering if it would be safe for me to get this treatment , I have super curly hair! I have blonde foils, can I still get this done? If not what would u recommend? Once u get this treatment, will my regrowth be as curly as it used to be or wavy? Thank you!!

  • @szelosza

of course, most people came with natural way hair. My price range is $300- $600 depending on the length and the thickness of the hair.

  • does this work on natural wavy hair? and how much do you charge?

  • i got jhs done today ... i paid $550 ... i know it is expensive but its worth it i luv my hair... thank you april.... if you guyss have any questions about japanese hair straightning let me know :)
