Only allowing art that gives you the warm fuzzies that you approve of will only produce crap and is stupid by any means. My old college at Southwestern had an art exhibit which was pretty much exactly the opposite of his and no problems there.

They deemed his work racist. That seems pretty simple - prove that it's not and get the ruling overturned.

No religion is perfect- but a people of different faiths have moved into the 21st century in spite of their "religion" with one exception. Muslims! Only Muslims believe in Islam of the 7th century- there is no 21st century Islam. If that were not the case than we would not see how Muslims all over the Middle East are "stoning" "beheading" "gay bashing" committing real "genocides" "ethnic cleansings" "segregation" and have an insatiable thirst for the land of others in spite of so much already!

@esauofrensfal You are pointing to the exception and not the rule- only a fool does not know about the ongoing 1400 year history of Islamic expansionism and violence that continues unabated in the name of Islam - This is not about "singling Muslims" it is about the "rule" of Islam" and the fact that even Muslims are victimized by Muslims in the name of Islam- some 20,000,000 Muslims have been killed by Muslims since 1952- This is unprecedented and continues to this day!

It's worth pointing out, since this has been commented on, that Christians do request the censorship of art all the time, and are often successful. The Catholic League's recent campaign is a textbook case. Nobody group is totally blameless. Singling out Muslims is a little ridiculous; it's just a by-product of the times.

All groups want to censor things that offend them; no one should have that ability. As long as thats what F.I.R.E. is about in academia, they deserve support.
