This is one reason to not pass in a right-turn-only lane. This old-goat driver moves into the right-turn only lane, with his left turn signal flashing, but cannot overtake me, because, of all things, there's someone turning right in the right turn lane. The other drivers on the roadway are able to safely change lanes, but this guy even tries it again on the next right-turn only lane, and fails as well.

  • The only hazard here is you holding up traffic with your wierd bicycle concraption. I don't even know how that is legal on the road...

  • @TonkatrainHONKHONK , as you've noted, it's a bicycle. As such, I have all the rights and responsibilities of any other road user. If you don't know how that my vehicle is legal on the road, you can perhaps recognize that your lack of understanding is common and a root cause of this sort of problem.

  • @freddotu On many highways you can't ride bikes. If you are riding one you should be over on the shoulder in many cases. If a car was going these speeds it would not take long to get pulled over for slowing down traffic and being a hazard.

  • @TonkatrainHONKHONK, in the USA, only interstate highways are off-limits to cyclists and in some parts of the country, they are permitted on the interstate. There are provisions for cyclist that enable safe riding, contrary to your interpretation and it works. I am not responsible for the actions of stupid drivers, which is what this video presents.

  • Is there a video where you can see your velo completely?

  • @postalpaulie, the very first ride is listed in "howling at the zoom" or use

watch?v=JkSlaoEusr0 to get there. It was taken 4 years ago, and 25,000 miles back, so the velomobile looks a bit worse for wear now. The dog was not injured, although she sure sounds like it!

  • You're creating one hell of an obstruction with this..uhh... bicycleish object that you insist on driving on high-speed restricted access roads. I'm surprised it's legal where you are, because here (Ontario) you'd be breaking multiple laws moving so much slower than traffic on a road like that.

You can post people reacting poorly all you want, the real problem is the person moving dangerously slowly ruining traffic flow.

  • @CyclingMagician, It's called a velomobile, a fully enclosed, all-weather human powered vehicle. Search online for that term and you'll find dozens of models and thousands of links.

  • what are you riding? I'm watching your videos and I can't figure it out...

  • I didn't know you were riding a bike..

  • @JohnUnit, and the misconceptions you hold in your alleged mind continue to distribute themselves. You also carry misconceptions about cycling in your province, as there are plenty of skilled cyclists in the forums from canada who operate in a similar and safe manner.

Keep in mind that thousands of drivers have zero trouble on these same roads and only the "exceptional" ones make it to YouTube.
