Bogor is famous partly because of Stamford Raffles, and Alfred Russel Wallace. Bali bomb mastermind Al Faruq was arrested in Bogor, but later allowed to escape by his CIA bosses. Laskar Jihad was reportedly trained by the military near Bogor. Clinton visited Bogor.
