Professor Nicky Clayton researches the social behaviour, intelligence and dance credentials of birds! As an accomplished dancer in her own right she has fused her passions by collaborating with Rambert Dance Company to produce a Darwinian inspired ballet called The Comedy of Change.

  • I had the great pleasure and privilege of meeting Professor Clayton during last week's Newcastle Science Festival. She gave a fascinating report on the research projects in which she is involved, and even had the astonishing courage to partner me on the dance floor in my first ever Tango!

    The Tango? My verdict: it is everything Line Dancing isn't!
