  • The irony of Mozart being used for the superego! He was one of the best examples of someone who let the id rule their behaviour!

  • True Super-Ego can only occur when the Ego develops a learned habitual pattern that overrides the instinctive pattern. What they both have in common is that, the instincts do not require conscious involvement, and neither does en-grained habit. So in a sense, you could say that the "Ego" is the only true function of limited consciousness. The super-ego is still a form of "non-conscious" and the ID is a form of sub-conscious. ID is instincts without intellect, ego is instincts with intellect.
