The Suffolk County New York Board of Health is considering banning all body piercings other than ear and navel. Suffolk County was the first in the nation to regulate piercing in 1997, now they want to be the first to ban all piercings other than ear and navel.

  • Wow,you would have to ban everything that could possible cause a cost to the heath care system according to those statistics. No sports allowed because sometimes people get hurt. Let's not forget the cost to the health care system from smoking a drinking related accidents and heath problems. Whatever happened to personal freedom?

  • Exactly, in a free society there should come a time in every sane persons life when they are trusted to decide what they want to do with their own life and body. You can't have your freedoms taken away and still be free. The Body Arts industry seems to be slated for the same kind of treatment that made Pilgrims come to America.

  • Fuck oath what a load'a shit, if some one wants to modify thier OWN bodies for what ever reasons they have, who can stop them from doing what they want? Also, what's this song, it's catchy and i like it.

  • Personal freedoms and financial independence constantly need defenders, and like it or not our nation has a history of taking preemptive actions. The war on the middle class is going well, as for all our other wars... eh. The good news is this led to the formation of the "International Body Arts Association" and the hiring of the Suffolk tattoo inspector for IBAA bloodborne pathogen training, so it appears that the two sides are coming together rather nicely (for once).

  • The song is "Breakfast at Tiffany's", performed by an impromptu college a cappella group that has since broken up (ironic considering the lyrics).
