  • she's got style!

  • excellent dance!

  • Nicely done and a very different feel to Misirlou. It is commonly played with a slow Bolero rhythm and sometimes with a slow maqsoum, but here it is to a 2/4 malfuf.

It is interesting and a very different take on the song, but it all works out well and it is a really nice addition to the many variations on Misirlou. Thank you.

  • Someone who knows belly dance. Is this a good one, I have seen different ones but as I do not know how should be I can't say which one is the correct way. Is this one could be consider OK or good enough?

  • There is no original version that any of us can ever hear. It is quite ancient and none of us can really know what it really sounded like. The lyrics are identifiable, but also controversial, but the theme itself, is far older than any recording equipment.

  • wow! love her. Let me know if she has any workshops

  • The original version of Mysirlou is not with Glykeria but much much older. My favourites:

    1. in George Abdo's "The Art of Bellydancing" (1973) - instrumental

    2. in the 4-CD selection "Oriental - 1001 Nights"" (by Compact Disc Club) by the Flames of Araby group. - instrumental

    3. Quick, with gypsy flavour, in "Me ton Anemo opus 4" sung by Nikos Papadiotis.

    4. by Jeff Oberman in "Zurefa Kol" - instrumental, just flute and tabla

  • gracias
