This is a clip of President-Elect Obama's surprisingly disingenuous canned speech to the residents of Baltimore (who waited for 4+ hours in 19 deg weather to see him.), with the follow up, "C'mon, Let's get outta here" effectually saying, let's blow this popsicle stand. Specifically in a town where all he needed to say one time was the word "Believe" and he would have set the crowd into a frenzy like no other, his speech was mostly canned (though he also fumbled through his list of whom to thank uncomfortably).

You also see Mr. Obama acting almost specifically like his predecessor Mr. Bush, exiting to the wrong side of the stage momentarily, grinning sheepishly, realizing the mic was still on... only to realize Michelle and Crew where all graciously standing on the other side of the stage thanking their hosts who set this stop up (and stood in the cold also for hours.) as they all went in to mingle with the grateful crowd.

Some of you may say "hater", or "it was cold", but this was a major gaff, and his words and even more, his body language, where simply rude, and not how I want to see yet another president acting on the world stage. Like others, I too have overwhelmingly supported Obama, having Sheperd's posters in my window since day one, and also financially, but this was very disappointing, and i hope Mr' Obama realizes once and for all the world is watching, and he is still speaking for "We the People", not "Me the King".

  • Don't get me wrong, I don't like Bush, but if this was Bush, there would be no question as to the gaff.

Pres. Obama was clearly ready to jet. Only when he saw the rest of his crew, did he flip around and eat crow to join them.

It's simply about standards, and good sportsmanship. I hold Pres Obama to a higher standard, since this is his soap box, his own rally cry, Higher Standards for all.

  • He's a con artist, a lier, an actor.... how sad... what a sad, sad day. He's been selected to be president to push forth the agenda of off short banking institutions. Hes a pawn with an audience who have been swindled with some BULL SHIT meaningless phrase with no meaning! Empty in its meaning, criminal at the very least. He's done nothing hes promise, quite the opposite.

  • But if Bush did that... it would be like the end of the world and all the Democrats would be like "Wow what an asshole."

Get the fuck out you stupid bitch.

  • I was there and trust me what you are saying couldn't prove to be more false. Claiming to be a former Obama supporter doesn't make your statement credible. The credibility lies in the ones who were there.

Coming from a city like Baltimore, I've never seen so many people so united and in good spirits (even with the frigid temperature).

That day will go down in history as ONE of the most memorable experiences in my 25 years of life.

  • Not to mention that he went through individually and greeted the crowd for a good long bit after this was done as well.

  • Um... weirdo:

He said "C'mon let's get out here," as in, let's get out and greet the crowd.

He was in midst of huggging Quincy Lucas and being congratulated by Michelle, Joe after the speech, but he wanted them all to get out and wave to the crowd, which is precisely what he did... He spread out and waved to the crowd.

So in fact, he did the exact opposite of what you are insinuating. Far from turning away, he opened himself up to the crowd and waved and cheered.

  • I believe President-Elect Obama was excited and was anxious to get on the train to continue the rally to Washington, D.C. Why do people look at everything so negative. I really didn't see it negatively. More like, come on guys, we got more people to go and excite this evening. It was not crass. What was he supposed to say? "Let's linger around?" No! He's got a lot of people waiting to see him and he is just trying to keep things moving. Get happy people! This is exciting for him AND us!

  • Thank you for your honesty about this major gaffe of BO.

No, I was not a supporter of BO. I felt our nation needed a proven Hero at this time in our nation's struggles. But moments like this prove to me that I had truly made the right decision when I placed my vote.

God Help Us All if Obama is truly this crass!!!
