This is one of my favorite Christmas songs.
This is a Leann Rimes's version, although this was originaly a song of Vince Vance & The Valiants.
The vocalist was Lisa Layne.

Why does everybody feel the need to compare singers? Look to your right and you'll see lots of people sing this song. Pick the singer you like best and listen to it.

She says she sang this song since she was a teenager !
She learned it from Vince Vance and the Valients - 1993 !
She still does an awesome job on it, but not as good as Lisa Layne !
She is the Ultimate !

LeeAnn does an excellent job on this one, although slightly hammy. She has a great voice, but I like songs sung straight without exaggeration or seemingly trying to outdo the original singer. I'm not accusing her of that, but some seem bent on doing that. I know some may say this is her interpretation, but I say sing the song straight. The same applies to those who mess with the national anthem, showing off their ability to sing up and down the scale. To me this is still Lisa Layne's song.
