They have recently on E3 09' released gameplay feeds on Left 4 Dead 2, with more weapons, special ammo, more melee weapons. But personally i think this early beta gameplay looks nicer, its how it should be. Dark, griddy. Flashing lights and corpses everywere. But in the sequal, its seems to be in more daytime enviroments inte the suburbs with few scares.

--Note---
This was one of the first gameplay videos that was released, its recorded from the E3 version of the game.
It is a Beta test of the game that was limited to Valvesoftware and E3 visitors, not a demo as many believe and the differences between the video and the "real" game are huge.

I get teary eyed every time I see game play for the Turtle Rock version of Left 4 Dead. The beta, as we like to call it, is FAR superior to the Valve release.

I think it would have been cool to have alternate levels, like have the director do more things. For example, the fourth level of No Mercy, the hospital, imagine going through that without any lights on. Just your flashlight and the occasional light from windows and lightning outside.

@Closterdadthegreater if you see developer comments in l4d1 (is in extras) they explains why he changed the characters, is to look more and recognisable with people that you see in real life in streets...

I have to admit, that would have been cool, but the Real version may have been for the best.

If you'll notice, the turtle rock version of L4D had smoother animations. With that sort of animation prowess, imagine what the game would have been like.

@haVocHWC3 All the actual game was product of the complaints of the beta testers. And is really hard in the actual expert mode, all completly dark would make that insane.
