@drwoo22 the color is mostly there to catch the anglers, not the fish

Do pike usually take jitterbugs? I've caught only bass and a bluegill on my black, white, and red jitterbug.

yeah i tried filming while pulling in a fish and the results are never good lol. cant focus, zoom, reel, and fight at the same time lol.

You would be surprised how well those fish can see, I had pike and bass in my fish tank, those top colors do make a difference, I have switched colors with the top water and have seen the fish "turn on". That's the wonder of it all !

i think they put colors on the top to sell more. if it just came in white people would just buy white. if they made it in 10 other colors they will make more money

That little slimer was way under regulation size. He was released.
I release most of my fish, except for Walleye, those are just to good to pass up ! Pike is pretty good, but can be boney if not cleaned correctly.

jitterbugs are the best lure and why do they put the color on top of the lure and they dont put a color pattern on the bottom ??

In nature the belly is usually patternless. I was using a small frog, a real frog has a white belly. I think the question is why put the pattern on the top....
