  • Here I am - with a right for love

A musical statement on child protection and children's rights.

A song for love, respect and security.

Children have contributed to the text of the song "Here I Am" by defining what "child safety" means for them. They sing this song from their perspective.

"Let's live in peace and dignity (...) Warmth, shelter, love, and care, no one should have to despair."

    SOS Child Protection Song

    Music & Lyrics: Frank Posch

  • Just one more government taking children away from their heritage, their parents and their families by someone who thinks that they are not happy because they need to pay taxes.

  • It you would like the link to the video please message me, thank you and great video.

  • Child abuse should not be condoned in any society no matter what. There are a range of ironies and controversies within most CJS's across the world that do still infringe rights of the child. The majority of the countries in the world have ratified this UNCRC, there are still two countries that have not; Somalia and USA. I have made a petition to help prevent a 12-year-old receiving a LWOP

  • The fact that people continue to defend corporal punishment of children makes me sick. Pick on somebody your own size you sackless morons.

  • @apologeticsman; I can't stand with you on that. Child abuse is more subjective than murder, and even then I can't say it's any nation's responsibility to stop wrongdoing of any kind in another country.

Certainly a treaty by the most ineffective international body in world history is not going to do anything. If good Christians want to spread freedom and human rights ourselves, then we ought to do it with our own hands, not with the hands of others to command.

  • For those of you FREAKING OUT and posting that the UNCRC is going to usurp parental rights completely or that this is an avenue for the UN to take over the US.....

...how many of you have actually READ the document...or are you solely responding based on what others have told you???

If you haven't read the document, you have NO RIGHT to comment!!!!

  • @GetRealPolitik There is no nation that has the right to murder, experiment on or enslave innocent civilians, no matter what their idealism is. Had the US been in favor of slavery in modern times, some nation or nations with a conscience would have and should force us to either free them, or pay a heavy penalty. The Jews did not belong to the nation of Germany, just because they lived there, and children do not belong to any nation or person either.

  • @apologeticsman; Nations can agree on ground rules for war, but it's just as silly as insisting that the UN should try them for war crimes. The UN is not and should not be a governing body. How does the UN plan to enforce this except by infringing on national sovereignty?

Nobody likes child abuse, but this would put far too much power in a small number of hands. Worse abuse would happen under such tyranny. It always does.

  • @apologeticsman Are you insane? Are you really that blinded by your own religion? Do you realise that what you write here is nonsense to the extreme? You're inventing "facts" out of the blue to defend your bible (although i did not expect any less than from religious like yourself) and i am quite sure you'd also kill for it blind folded if we were still in medieval times during the crusades. You'd do it without questioning your own beliefs and just go with what your leaders tell you to do.

  • @Blasthood did you know that many cultures have a flood story in their history, but the Bible is the only one that puts the flood account in real times and places, and gives logical and even scientific details about it? It's obvious that the other cultures took their flood stories from the Bible or from legends passed down by their pagan predecessors who descended from survivors of the flood, but did not have an accurate record of it.

  • @Blasthood No, that is not what the Bible says, that is what a certain percentage of evangelical Christians say, but that is not accurate. The difference between the God of the Bible and other so called gods and religions is very pronounced, especially when one examines them historically, scientifically, and philosophically, Also, it is evident that all pagan and other world religions are but shadows and or rip offs of the faith of the Bible.
