Mr. (not Doctor) Kent Hovind knows perfectly well what laws he broke.

12 counts of willful failure to collect, pay, and account for federal income taxes under 26 U.S.C. & 7202.

45 counts of structuring transactions to evade reporting requirements outline in 31 U.S.C. & 5313(a) in violation of 31 U.S.C & 5324, 18 U.S.C. & 2, and 31 C.F.R. sec. 103.11

1 count of attempting to obstruct and impede administration of internal revenue laws under 26 U.S.C. & 7212.

It should therefore come as no surprise to him that his most recent appeal was denied.

  • In reality the government of the USA seems to be very liberal when it comes to religion...and if Kent Hovind could not comply with these basic rules, then perhaps he deserves to be in prison...after all, he refused to purchase a 5o dollar permit...quite sad...

  • Why did Hovind get such a long sentence when Wesley Snipes only got 3 years for owing quite a bit more money? If I'm not mistaken Snipes owed something like 13 million compared to Hovind's hundreds of thousands? I don't want to jump on the "they attacked him for his beliefs" bandwagon, so I thought I'd see what you thought.

  • I hope you never break the law, bud!

  • This is funny. I am sure that he understands what he is jail for. However, he is the master of denying relative and making people believe him. I think he was trying to use those tricks in court, but they were not working.

  • It's a win/lose situation. Even though it's all fair and valid in the legal world, Hovind will no doubt spin it to strengthen the persecution delusion held by his mindless drones... and it will work for it's intended audience.

I often wonder how long it will be before this sect of people become so detached from reality that they start a holy war against the rest of the world.

  • Amen, bruh.

  • Kent Hovind is a denyer of not just science.

  • Thank Poseidon that he will stay where he belongs.

  • Once an IDiot always an IDiot, he will never learn. So I reckon he will stay in jail for a further while. Excellent news to start the new year with. Happy new year to every body.

  • Woot!

Golden Crocoduck award winner remains in Jail!
