This video was shot probably around 2000 or 2001 on my old Hi-8 camcorder. This was my first car and I still own it but it has been reworked since then. Engine is a built 302, trans is a 3500 stall/kitted AOD, axel is a 4.11 posi 8" Ford, and the exhaust is long tube headers through glass packs.

  • i have a 67 futura coupe its red now, but was originally springtime yellow,

with parchment interior, 225 hp.289 cruz-o-matic fx duals & flowmasters

besides the paint n moter internals(now a 347ci.) shes all original

(whats the deal with both designations(club coupe/sports coupe)

we founmd sports coupe emblems under back seat?)

any help would be great,....thanks, danno

  • I'm not a total expert on this, but I know that if your car was originally a Sports Coupe it would have had the emblems on the outside of the C pillar and would have had bucket seats. I think all Sports Coupes in '67 also had Landau roofs, but I'm not sure of that. All the Sports Coups I have seen have had them. I also don't think it could have been both a Futura and a Sports Coupe, but again, I could be wrong. It sounds like yours is a Futura and the emblems you found don't belong.

  • from the front it looks a little like the nova

  • @aaronzack14

It sure does. People who don't know cars from the '60's too well often assume it is a Nova.

  • Sorry but thats weak.

  • What is weak?

  • @01Z06guy I was curious, i'm very eager to learn how to work on cars and I was wondering if you could tell me in a little bit of detail if the older ford falcons like the 60's and 70's are hard to work on mechanically and if any part of them use any kind of a computer? Thanks.
