There is nothing superb in this solo: just simple plain arpeggios taken out of Rachmaninoff and simplified so he can play them, and lots of diminished chords and arpeggios to pretend he is Liszt, except, again he shortcuts to child level of ability notes. A pompous show-off who would have wanted to have genuine piano charisma and does not and finds comfort in pretending he does to an audience of ignorants.

@wammbarro Even though I am probably better that him, that does not mean anything: there are tens of thousands better than him and most of us are not good enough for public performance - and we do not call ourselves "Piano Masters".If you want to discover people who are infinetely better than him on, for example, the Rachmaninoff prelude he tries to (but can't) play try in You Tube "Lisitsa Rachmaninoff Prelude op. 23 No 5". Also try her on Liszt you may see the difference, I hope...

@sorim1967 I posted this video, so that people who are fans of Muse or who were at that particular concert, can enjoy another video on youtube. I'm not making him out to be something that he is not, nor is he to be honest. He just plays in a band and people (be it lots of people) like that. He makes money. Now if people are affected by any music, be it technical or simple and to the point, that is up to them...and if they enjoy it...it's all good.

@wammbarro I have seen a wide range of guitarists, from Vai to Page. There are vast differences. I know of many guitarists who are beyond Vai...but they affect people in different ways. What you think is best doesn't mean anything. Enjoy and don't be so uptight. If you don't like him, you don't. I'm not sure you need to make a vast statement making him out to be someone who is a music destroyer. Why don't you go vent spleen on Madonna or any other computerized robots. Thanks.
