This is a waste motor oil furnace I made using the heat exchanger, blower and shell from a salvaged gas furnace. The primary burner is a 8 in. cast iron fry panseparated from the secondary combustion zone by a steel plate with 3 air holes allowing incomplete combustion.. The secondary burner is a 10 in. .piece of 4 in. diameter diesel exhaust pipe with 1/8 in wide slots cut in 1 in.apart totaling 66 linear inches or 8.2 sq. in. where air rushes in to complete the combustion. A steel box transfers the superheated gasses to the heat exchanger and out the chimney. The old gas draft hood must be made air tight to maintain chimney suction. I am using a temporary oil feed setup using an aquarium air/oil pump and a 2 lb coffee can oil storage until I build a permanent one
