Watched that twice now! Highmore's tears weren't acted, they were real! He was completely into his part! I play theater myself and to cry in front of an audience in a way that it moves them and that it's even credible demands that abilitiy because it's absolutely difficult to do that without feeling ridiculious! That boy deserve's an Oscar for that part more than anyone!

STRIKE! Johnny Depp may be a fine actor, definitely and no question! But this is the first time where even he gets beaten by a little boy in terms of acting! Freddie Highmore, keep going! You have a great career ahead of you!

give Johnny his dues...he may do some odd roles from time to time, but my god he can hit accents! Scottish may be the toughest to do a convincing justice...BUT he found a way!
