I think she would be proud of me if she saw this. She said herself that she wanted more people to think about gender in children's books and be aware of it. And I did just that.

Thanks Vanessa. Yeah I never thought about any of this either when I was kid. I used to love these books as a child too. I still probably wouldn't have thought of it if it wasn't for Janice and this little "study" of hers.

I know what I'm about to say isn't relevent to the video but I can't send a message. I'm on a cell phone. Kinda limited. lol Anyway it would be great to see you do a video on how men are negatively treated in family life. Just something I've been focusing more attention to and thought you might like the idea :) Also I'm going to do more videos about men's issues soon, once I get back up and running, if you're interested in watching them.

@GueiGirl In a world where are lifting crappy authors on our shoulders, characters of both genders suffer, to be sure. I say this as an aspiring author, myself.
