I love your video your mom reminds me of my grandma Carmen Soto-Gordon ....hands down best video of pastele making my hubby and I love it

@tabithascorner Wow! Really? I gotta tell youCarmen, these videos were filmed on a small digital camera which I had to continue re-charging and filming during various days and times. I had to make sure to remind my mom that she was being filmed so she wouldn't go off track and forget to mention ingredients or steps. The editing and pasting the frames together is another story. Hi, gracias lyzette102. Out here in HeLLA, they have a few bodegas but only in the mexican areas like East LA and even those boegas mainly carry mexican products like tamales which are ok but pasteles to me are way better lol!!! Hey if you think the hot ice thing would work, let me know and I'd be happy to buy a few from you ok. Thanks alot honey, ttyl bye.

@MamiBoricuaNYC Awesome comment! It really is important to never allow our customs, food and traditions to die. I went against my mother's will in order to preserve these recipes. She does not like to be photographed or filmed now that se is up in age. She really doesn't know how much more beautiful she becomes as her knowledge is shared with those younger in age. Hmmm, wonder if I purchased hot ice and packed up a few to send you if they would still be frozen enough for you to be able to boil and enjoy.
