I wanted to cover bird's eye view, just about as soon as I heard it. I asked Amy for the lyrics, told her my intentions, and wouldn't you know she sent them out straightaway. Having the song relatively familiar in my head I started playing, singing, and such, and I suddenly got a whole different vibe then the happy, major chord, melodic little gem I had grown to love.
Next I am thinking of being on the ground. I am thinking of having seen the "view" from above. Next thing I know, the sadness crept in and overcame me, and I had to shift from C to C minor. But then again, when the basis is strong you can pretty much do whatever and you're safe.
I hope Amy doesn't mind my interpretation.
