After many times of getting specularity maps wrong in my assignments and just rendering a desaturated version of my diffuse I decided to create a new way. Using the black n white adjustment allows you to darken certain areas of your diffuse so that you can create that dark section to the parts you want. Adding the multiply layer effect then makes it so as it's not just black and white like all the other kids on the block.

Programs Used:

Adobe Photoshop CS3
Autodesks 3D Studio Max 2011
