This is my video of the 2008 Ford IRONMAN World Championship from Kona, Hawaii. It's part 1 of 2 because I wanted to be able to post it in HD so make sure you click the "HD" button at the bottom right of the video for a better picture and bigger screen. The original video I made is 26 minutes and I've been meaning to make a shorter version for several months now and this is it. It was an absolutely unbelievable experience for me finishing the IRONMAN, the entire journey from the day I found out about my lottery slot on April 15th, 2008 until midnight on October 11th. Then it's over, just like that. Enjoy the video!

wow congratulations bra. my dad the kona ironman 2 times and i want to too. jus the feeling knowing that u r doing something 99% of the population can't do. incredible

Well I was already in pretty good short-course shape when I found out I got the slot so I continued my sprint and olympic training until around June which is when I started on an IRONMAN specific training program. So 4 months of IRONMAN specific training.
