  • Oh period music! In Mozarts case a sure fire way to please!!

  • Wonderful piece and choir!!

  • @MariaJolicoeur Thank you for sharing this splendid recording.

  • @guymal77 the violinist is the leader of the orchestra. this is called the first chair. the orchestra is tuned by the first chair and the conductor usually gives key indications to this person

  • @surleweb listen to Sir Neville Marriner's Requiem. quite fast compared to most versions that I have heard.

I find it easier to hear the latin words when it is slower, but the music still has massive impact(for me).

  • My name is Maria Jolicoeur, the recording of Motzart Mass in C minor that you have recorded is my voice, Douglas Green is the music director at St. Patrick's Cathedral, the solo part is me, I sang it with Doug Green at the piano and he recorded it in the choir room at St. Patrick's in Norwich. Also, the choral part is the choir at St. Patrick's. Thank you. I am the copy right owner.

  • @guymal77

He probably meant something, as if he was peaced off about something...but I didn't hear anything. Maybe the violonist just asked him a salary increase. Twice.

  • Ok...did Gardiner mean something when he gave that look at 3:44 to the violinist on his immediate right...and then again at 3:49???....superb soloists btw!!...and the choir...magnifique!!

  • The Benedictus' tempo is too fst in my opinion, as they were in a hurry...but very good balance between the four soloists

  • @tonitrophiliac :D are u missing the songs already? me too lol!! had to look it up
