James Kalm bikes to Eastern Williamsburg Brooklyn to escort viewers on an extraordinary adventure in Painterland. Joyce Pinsato, a pioneer in the Williamsburg arts community, has occupied this studio for thirty years. In that time the studio has collecting not only layers of paint and charcoal dust, but a overwhelming number of toys and stuffed animals that she uses as inspiration for her large raw paintings and drawings. Featuring an extended interview with Joyce Pinsato.
"Fashions Change" James, we are talking about Fine Art not fashion, please.

She is a great person, too bad she will not use that studio anymore. The new one is much smaller and cleaner, which is what Joyce hates.

Joyce Pensato seems to be a very fine human being as well as an artist. I really liked the last video of her when you came into the gallery as the show was being installed. She took it all in stride-dirty hands and all. I think she is lucky to have such a large space to work in and to have been taught and mentored by such fine artists as she mentioned in the studio visit. Best of luck Mr. Kalm for the upcoming year and good art hunting. Keep 'em coming! Bob Wilson

I'm glad that she's at work and envious of the space. Not immediately drawn to the work, but I'm coming around. Joyce should keep those glasses on to help her think. I consider it a miracle of nature that something so simple can fix my misshapened eyes or cause a thought. Thanks to both of you three times.
