when i set up my pc (amd x64 1,6ghz, 1gb ram, geforce 5200+, nothing spectacular) with a x86 windows xp the loading bar was just as fast as this one and my version isnt modified.
its still pretty fast compared to others pcs because i keep my autostart and stuff clean, i wonder what would happen if i used a minimized os^^
im gonna use one for the even weaker pc that im gonna use only for emulating n64, psy and dc games

Damn fast. I blinked the first time, had to look again :D My fully functional nLite XP boots in 16s on P4 1.7GHz 256M 80G disk. Only cut the fat, wallpapers etc Also added some nice tweaks afterwards too, disablelastaccess disable8dot3 fsutil usn deletejournal Few services Many registry tweaks Deleted known Windows-bloat-files Compacted files that rarely gets used CCleaner RegCleanExpert UltraDefrag swapfile eventlogs and registry files toward beginning of drive. Finally Windows Defrag.

I like that version! An Windows XP that you don't have to watch the loading bar several times!

how'd you get internet working???

Xp is still the fastest OS IMO, as for gaming, xp still wins, even tho vista and win7 is slightly faster in certain games, but xp is still the fastest OS EVER.

have to agree with anthonyAOK if its running in virtual box with almost no programs installed it doesn't really represent your actual pc booting and running with all your normal apps installed.

thats as fast as windows 10 will be :P

oh and currently using 50mb after opera is open with a couple of tabs open :)
How much ram you give it?
I think we just cut out *everything* as it was just a test to see if we could get an internet terminal working. We have networking in there as well but I honestly can't remember what else we cut.
Since doing this we tried to log into the wireless network but you need to download a certificate and we hit a wall when we couldnt select the correct certificate type i think (nothing in drop down menu).
