I cried. This is just awesome. This is what Utube is for . Well bloody done. I have murdered this on the G for 20 years and then I find this......

the sound, the playing and the instrument are fantastic.

Outstanding performance of what may be *the* most beautiful and expressive piece from the Baroque lute repertoire! Another by Weiss which I noticed you also perform on Youtube is moving Ciacona. Any chance we can convince you to upload a few more pieces by Weiss? I'd love to hear your interpretation of several other greats on your Alto-guitar, such as Weiss's Capricio, his Passagaille, the other Tombeau (=Cajetan d'Hartig), and the great L'infidele suite! How about it, JJ? :-)

Sublime -- austere but humane, I could listen forever. Love you funny guitar and would like to learn more about it (and you). What's up with your web page, are you in process of moving? Anyway, I'll be sure to visit again. Merci bien pour votre musique, c'est un grand plaisir.
Amazing! Please ask me,which strings are used for these guitars?

hello,
Thanks for your comment.
This guitar called "alt-guitar" is tuned like like a renaissance lute : g-d-a or bflat-f-c-g-f-eb-d-c-. i use savarez corum strings even for the basses -the "theorb system keeps the tension equal . J J
