put that piston back in the engine its perfectly fine.

Home heating fuel is somehow different to the point that it doesnt smoke or smell as bad as regular , dont know what effect this might have on a engine

@krismaze yup, heathing oil does not lub the injector pump or injectors like diesel does- although todays ULSD sucks pretty bad anyway, this pistion looks like it had a hard life of heavy boost and over fueled

I ran piston through GF's moms dishwasher twice and came out like new. After the JB weld and time on the lathe . And some Blues in the background helps after telling Customers about there eninges...lol

..I just fix em and someone else destroys them..Lol.....It is my understanding an additive is put in the diesel at some point related to sulphar emissions, a fuel detergent of some kind and water seperation.....But the issue is bit cloudy whether its true or not!

I believe it started with a bad injector but there is a lack of truth when asking about maintenance on engines by operators sometimes....People have been known to use home heating fuel instead of Diesel..Popular in Rural area's where its a drive for diesel...Bad for motor though!
