Ibanez Hardtail (RG3EXFM1) Demo by Maxxxwell Carlisle

Here's a demo/review of the Ibanez RG3EXFM1 hardtail/string through. Nice non-trem shred guitar. Basswood body, flame maple top, 25.5" scale, 24 jumbo frets, maple neck, rosewood board, 2 humbuckers, 1 volume, 1 tone, 5 way switch.

Gear Used: B-52 AT100 Head into 2 Behringer 4x12s.

You could...but it would require a lot of modifications to the body. It would be easier to just buy an RG that already has one. You could probably pick up an RG320 for 200-300 bucks and you'd be set.

Hmm I play rhythm for my band and have been looking for a new guitar, do you think the Ibanez RG3EXFM1 would be a good choice? I'm looking for something with a thin fast neck that is in the $300-$450 price range.

I think it would be a GREAT choice. There are also some ESPs (LTDs) and Deans which are good and in that range.

@SKYNYRD489 Saw that nobody has responded, thought I might be able to help you. I use the RG3EX1. It's an older model, but features essentially the same specifications as the EXFM1, minus the 5-way switch. My RG3EX1 only has a 3-way selector. Not too sure about your bridge pickup, as both of mine say "Designed by EMG." Did you pick up your guitar from a store?
