  • The cat could easily killed or have harmed the insect....

....BUT Heteropteryx are also known for lashing their spiked feet as a defense. This COULD harm your cat, ask Heteropterx are known to be able to draw blood to even humans when lashing their spiked legs.

So... bad situation for both animals, I say!

  • @Shadowblood66

I was standing very close to them, and ready to "take action" if something bad should happen...

  • No offence, but if that cat got mad-poked it really hard, bit it or even jumped on it-the Heteropteryx would have died!: /

  • @Greenocool10

The cat was just playing with it, though it tried to bite it but it didn't really happend. And a H. dilatata female is very robust.

  • @DXmmuauaua lol your cat is awsome but your heteropterx is wayy cuter...

  • lol sure sure

  • @8nykspree

I have reflexes like a ninja, so no worries XD

  • @namdor11 lol

  • @DXmmuauaua lol, unless you have the reflexes of a cat, which you don't, you could not have stopped the cat from snatching it in its mouth and darting away with it. Dead bug.

  • so is this like a hamster or something? they look like they should be at least somewhat like a pet but im not too sure. spiders are stupid but are these smart insects?

  • @iamnotamouseok I never said it was endangered, It's basic respect for nature. You don't purposely put two animals together just to watch them injure one another (or in this case, have one possibly injure the other). It's stupid and immoral.
