luminol in 3 farben
Benutzt:
Hämine (Stärkere Leuchtkraft)
Luminol (Leuchten und für blaue Farben)
-----
---------------------------
-----
Farben/Colors (German names):
-----
- Phenolphthalein (Für pink / For pink)
- Wasserstoffperoxid (Für grün / For green)
-----
- 9,10-diphenylanthracene (blue, you musn't use a chemical for the blue one)
- 9,10-bis(phenylethynyl)anthracene (green)
- 1-chloro-9,10-bis(phenylethylnyl)anthracene (yellow)
- 5,12-bis(phenylethylnyl)-naphthacene Rhodamine 6G (orange)
- Rhodamine B (red)

Other users used (Dutch names):
I used the following chemicals for my experiment:
- 0,80 g natriumcarbonaat Na2CO3
- 0,04 g luminol C8H7N3O2 (3-aminophtalhydrazide)
- 0,10 g ammoniumwaterstofcarbonaat NH4CO3
- 0,10 g kopersulfaat CuSO4.5H2O
- 4,0 g natriumwaterstofcarbonaat NaHCO3
- 40 ml waterstofperoxide H2O2 (3%)
Unfortuantly, the reaction only lasted for about 25 seconds.
And I need to make a reaction of more than 1 minute.

For the colours, you can use:
- 9,10-diphenylanthracene (blue)
- 9,10-bis(phenylethynyl)anthracene (green)
- 1-chloro-9,10-bis(phenylethylnyl)anthracene (yellow)
- 5,12-bis(phenylethylnyl)-naphthacene Rhodamine 6G (orange)
- Rhodamine B (red)

  • Very Real.

I'm doing a Luminescence experiment for Elementary kids in AP Chemistry, my teacher had a little Luminol left so we gave it a try, and it lit up amazingly.

We also used some water + Highlighter, Tonic water, Lemon-Scented Ammonia (Very Yellow), Anti-freeze and Crushed up Vitamin B-12, All were brightly luminescent under a black light.

  • I started doing chemical experiments when I was 10 (now im 14) next year I'll start the chemical course =)

  • Very nice. i've try chemiluminescence without potassium hexacyanoferrate(II). i used ferrum citrate and ferrum oxalate. They worked!

  • @ThaZatzke

I know your comment is two years old and everything but I thought I would add this note for others interested in blacklight luminescence.

I found that laundry detergent lights up well under blacklight (Wisk works wonders) and can be used to write secret messages on your walls, make handprints, etc... and for the most part you can wash it off.
