In preparation of the Pan Jiu-Jitsu No Gi Championship in NYC, Rob Leibrock has added 2 days a week of strength & conditioning at our facility. Rob's goal is to improve his grappling-specific strength, muscular endurance and conditioning so we've designed 2 strength endurance/metabolic conditioning-based training days to compliment his grappling training. Watch out for Rob on October 3rd at the Pan Jiu-Jitsu No Gi Championships in NYC! Rob is a badass dude with a tireless work ethic and submissions you've never seen before!! For more info on the tournament, check out ibjjf.org.

  • @powerfedex barbell complexes have been used for wrestling and other sports for a long ass time, my dad (who used to be a pro boxer) showed me one he used to do, so i think the implication that joe is claiming someone else's method as his own is uneducated

  • Brutal this'll get you ready

  • how can anybody diss wat defranco does??? hes da man! and OBVIOUSLY wat he is doin is working!!

  • @joecandito How about jumping? You can do those weighted

How about knee jumps? You can do those weighted.

How about car pushing, prowler sprinting, and other similar movements?

Have you ever seen that diesel crew video on tire flipping technique? It's essentially getting into an athletic position, doing a partial deadlift and then driving it forward with your legs.

Back squats also have serious carryover to any activity with your legs, as proven time and time again.

  • just similar??? hmmm

  • Dude...DeFrancos is a great coach but....that workout routine seems VERY similar to the one that you can see in the "Team Quest" DVD...

  • You are confusing skill and movement.

  • see this is where you dont understand

i didnt say NONE of the movements are SIMILAR

i said that none of the exercises SIMULATE running

as in, pumping arms, good knee lift, driving forward, ect.

  • You must have some amazing running style. Are you serious that none of the movements are they same? How do you extend your legs? Does David Blaine help out?

  • well then, why did you say its hard to seperate muscles from movements

the exercises i mentinoed work every muscle involved in sprinting, and none of the movements
