I believe I've made the first stereoscopic (3D) zoetrope. Instead of the drum spinning about a vertical axis, it spins about a horizontal axis, and instead of one set of slits, there are alternating slits for the left and right eye to expose them to their corresponding frames on the other side of the drum. The animation itself is extremely cheesy and I wasn't able to capture it on the camera, maybe some day I'll try and make a better one.
I came up with the idea a long time ago and when I tried to find any other similar work I only found 3D zoetropes composed of actual physical figurines as the frames.
It was designed on the computer using Inkscape, and printed out on 3 separate sheets of paper: 2 circles for the sides, and a single sheet with 20 frames of the animation in two strips side-by-side. I made a few mistakes on the design which I corrected at cut-out time, and the animation itself isn't particularly compelling so I haven't posted my design files. Maybe some time I'll make a better one and upload them to my website for others to try.
Great idea!

Your seteroscopic idea could be used in disic tvs too..i think john logie baird had done one around the late 1920's.
