Captain black is a good brand, It shouldn't matter what other people think, to each their own. Bill I thought it's no good to use a torch lighter to light your pipe?

I have been a fan of Captain Black for 20-yrs they have the most wonderful cavendish blends I have ever smoked. Why are you embarrassed to show the blend? If anyone speaks bad about it, tell them to stick it! LOL! Thanks for the review :)

I really dislike snobbery in anything (music, art, books, etc), and I always know when some one become a pipe snob once they bad mouth the captain. I've always liked it, and honestly i have a hard time telling the difference from other "high-end" tobaccos. If anything it is a little dry, but that is easily fixed. Enjoy your smokes.

ya if youre new to pipes something to look out for is the cigarette tobacco that alot of compaines pass off as pipe tobacco. they just label it pipe tobacco to get around the taxes. but not with captain black. they will never screw u.

I'm into cigars mainly I don't smoke cigarettes. And, when my NHL team makes the playoffs, I'll grow my hockey beard. Funny thing is, whenever that happens, I have this strong craving to smoke a pipe! I don't know what it is; I can't smoke a pipe unless I have a beard! I've got seven pipes now but my team hasn't made the playoffs in four or five years--damn! Well, there's always my Cuban cigars to fall back upon whenever I choose. Damn it's impossible to smoke in the wintertime!

Mate just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to you. I hated pipe smoking with a passion before I saw your video, and now 2 days later, I'm in love with it. I don't know why, but I thought you are meant to inhale pipe tobacco. I hate inhaling smoke and only smoke cigars. Just ordered a corn cob and some captain black, will be in the day after tomorrow...CANT WAIT.
