  • Hi everyone. I am so pleased this has been posted. I was on stage as a cast member, the chorus master and , later, the Conductor of the theatre version.

It was, and remains, the most incredible theatrical experience of my 40+ year career.

I remember this appearance like it was yesterday.

  • @Team180B I can't see why John Farnham would want to even lip-sync in the first place :-S

  • OMG! I can see Lindsay Field! Didn't know he was in the production! ...and yes its synced...but they always were on TV.

  • Definitely the best Mary .... and lip synced. Still awesome though.

BTW. Biblical Mary Mag would have been an old wormen not a sexy young vixen.

  • for amakdissi79 - i think it is pretty much Mary Magdeline wanting Jesus to relax, be happy, sleep and worry about nothing, she will sooth him etc. Judas then comes in and goes off saying pretty much that she has to think of others besides herself. Then Jesus comes in to defend her and says Judas pretty much better appreciate him because one day he will be gone. That's my interpretation anyway of a brilliant song!!

  • I play this cd ALL THE TIME!!! Absolutely still love it. Just wish I had the dvd for it. Apparently there is none.

  • Hands down the best version of this show ever. I remember paying a fortune for the cd because it was an import, but it was worth every single penny!!

  • irememeber seeing this live in sydney i was given2 tickets by a mate it was the best concert of my life! all that aussie talent in one place not all auss but the best by far

  • You'll find that almost 100% of performances done from studios on live TV are prerecorded and lip synced, its just how its done. I've studied the music industry and am involved in it by the way.

  • whats this song about exactley?

  • 100% lip sync..it's from their recording tho but not a live version..to many variables to sing this song live without the full band there..plus live tv is always hard to get good recordings..but not taking away from the fact this was an amazing cast and nice they sang 'Amazing Grace' at the end..cheers for posting the video ;-)

  • @JustClickOnIt It's definately a lip sync job, I'm afraid! :(
