Oberheim OB8 Lead

I just bought this synth yesterday from a friend of mine. I might be replacing my Alesis Andromeda with it. Here are some videos of the first patches I created on it. Please enjoy the poor audio quality as it was difficult for me to get this keyboard to sound this bad. Ok maybe its just me (This was recorded on my digital camera). Thanks for watching.

So owning a 26 year old synth that uses rare Curtis chips that are notorious for dieing seems like a safer bet than a synth still being made today? The only way to be truly safe is to get a discrete synth that you can get all the parts from a Radio Shack. Nice sounding Obie btw. ;)

Thanks! I'll be posting more videos once I have the right equipment to record them with. The OB8 sounds absolutely amazing with its voices panned (1. left 2. right 3. left 4. right etc,.) Come to think of it... so does the Andromeda. hmm maybe an A / B video is in the near future.
