Ebay Feedback System Is Disgraceful

Ebay feedback system is disgraceful and pathetic. Ebay goes out of its way to protect dirt-bag buyers.

I agree the policy sucks, but did you know you repeated yourself like 10 times? Damn. The reason the policy was created was because there were honest buyers who would not leave honest feedback in fear of retaliation from sellers who would in turn leave neg feed back out of animosity. There are sellers who lie about an item being new when its used. Sellers who sell pants that smell like booty in the crotch. I understand why you are upset but in a case like that just move on. It sucks.

Hi Tom, I agree... got neutral feedback from an idiot buyer that didn't understand what he/she/it bought and it didn't contact me to let me know it wasn't happy. Fair or what?

@emuholic I know what you mean. I do believe that most of the buyers on Ebay (and this is unfortunate) cannot read.

So ridiculous yet so true. The only thing that is more ridiculous is selling on Amazon. On Amazon if your a buyer you can contact a human being on the phone to discuss any issue but as a seller you can not speak with anybody not by phone or by email as soon as you get one or 2 negs your account is suspended, money on hold for 120 days, no return emails. that's it end of story.

I totally agree. I sent out an item to someone they said they didn't get it...I didnt use delivery confirmation (my fault) so I have no way to prove whether he got it or not. So whatever I just gave him back his total $10 he paid (shipping was free) And they left me a neutral feedback saying how uncooperative I was but at least I refunded them...Ridiculous. I did everything I was suppose to do but because the post office messes up this guy takes it out on me. I refunded him so I just dont get it

yes eBay sucks more and more, now they charge sellers a percentage on shipping charges.

Same thing happened to me!!!!!

1.Buyer NEVER paid and was able to leave me bad feedback.

2.Buyer bought from a country I dont ship to even though my only ship to county in the dropdown was UNITED STATES. I refunded the payment and buyer still left bad feedback say i dont ship outside usa. EBAY WOULD NOT REMOVE IT.

I just removed my instant payment plan with them racked a bill that I thought my time was worth on dealing with this and closed the account.

@TomTresh2 Yes, many can't read or just fail to read the well-worded, very detailed description of an item. There's a seller on eBay who sells magazine ads for luxury perfumes. Great photos & details in the listings, very clear exactly what he is selling. Yet, buyers will leave negative feedbacks because they claim he "never sent the bottle of perfume, just a stupid piece of paper torn from a magazine". That kind of buyer really thinks they are getting a $200 bottle of perfume for $2.25? LOL.

I think it is terrible how eBay treats sellers these days. As if their many new fees and rules wasn't enough, they have to add insult to injury. Questions: If a dirt bag seller accepts PayPal, can't they be traced and found easily by eBay security? If the dirt bag sellers fail to deliver what they were [aid for, or they are selling fake autographs, etc.... if they are shipping from their state to the buyer's state, isn't that interstate fraud? Mail Fraud?

Fake Obama autographs?! Tell the FBI.
