I make it from letter N to letter P in this installment, but I'm slowed down by speaking at length about two of my "desert island DVDs" - Planet of the Apes and Pulp Fiction.

Movies discussed:

Notting Hill
Ocean's 11
Planet of the Apes (1968)
Panic Room
Pee-Wee's Big Adventure
Pulp Fiction

I'll film the next few installments soon. Thanks for watching!

  • inglorious bastards is amazing!

  • agreed! I hope Landa gets an Oscar nom - amazing performance!

  • I didn't know you were "part Texan" haha!!

What part of Texas? I'm curious because I spent a chunk of my life (6+ years) in Austin. I'd never imagined myself living there, but my job eventually (and unexpectedly) took me there. What surprised me was the fact that there's a pretty sizeable Japanese population in the Capitol City. Both working professionals and students (attending UT/Austin.) You would actually hear some Japanese conversation in the bookstore or at Whole Foods quite often. : D

  • I lived just outside Dallas near a city called Plano from the age of 7 to the age of 16.

  • The home of Frito Lay!!! Big fan, big fan! : )

Used to drive 3 hours on I-35N to Dallas from Austin so many times I lost count!

Living in the concrete jungle of NYC now, sometimes I really miss the beautiful Hill Country of Austin and central Texas. To be quite honest, I often miss Texas more than I do Japan. Don't know why. Maybe it's those breathtaking Texas sunsets...

    Sugoku natsukashii.

  • If there is any movie that your viewers should watch in your recommendations Pulp Fiction should be the number 1 film watched. It is soo quotable. Amazing dialogue. Greats from Reservoir Dogs + Uma Thermon, Bruce Willis, Travolta and fucken Mace Windu. I knew of it for a long time, but it was actually strongly recommended by a friend. I saw it some years ago and it changed my life. "Say what one more time! I dare you! I double dare motherfucker!"

  • haha - yeah, it must be tough for them to market some films - do they include the iconic image the film is known for and possibly spoil it for the unitiated? Or go with something else...

  • My "passion" comment might sound a bit wierd, the point I was trying to make was I know you like your films, like me

  • Really great mate, I feel your passion.

  • The Planet of the apes film is an interersting one: While is is a classic ( I full heartedly agree with you, amazing) the front cover of the poster/DVD is the biggest spoiler in movie history!!!!!!!
