@clockworktoys "everyone leaves on all day."
Everyone?
Try using less arrogantly declaritive words.
I for one don't even have a waste of money giant tv... I have an old 16 inch, and don't even use it.
I have a computer, but it's off most of the day, and when it's on, if I'm not at the desk, the screen turns off.
I also turn off lights I'm not using...

I bought this car because I couldn't get a Leaf. Leafs seem to only be available to celebrities and the well connected. I really like my Think City. I drove it about 1000 miles and it only added about $15 to my electric bill. It's not fancy and it does the job. I would like to use the pre-heat when winter comes, but I don't think mine has the feature. I'm waiting for an answer from their service folks.

Hybrid cars are actually better than electric only. If we change all the cars to electricity only we will have to burn a lot more petroleum to make energy and there are losses to distribute that energy. Besides that the battery is bigger and more expensive and the autonomy is shorter. Prius is still the answer when you think in smart drive. Two wheels electric vehicles are a good bet to the close future.
Typical brainwashed thinking. Wow, massive upgrades to grid? Seems to be keeping up with all these new power gulping flat panel tvs and computers everyone leaves on all day.

Hard to believe this technology has been around that long and only now coming to America's light. I hope the new administration will be more receptive to this alternative.
Furthermore, I hope to live to see the day when America no longer needs the Middle East's oil. What will they do then, eat it? Oil has been their source of wealth and nothing more for far too long. With nothing else to do their idol hands have become the devil's workshop, full of malice. Will we see peace finally?
