Casas por Cristo has been serving the community of Juarez Mexico since 1993 by short term mission trips that build homes for families living in extreme poverty. The population of Juarez Mexico is over 1.3 million people. The families that receive homes earn an average of $50 a week. These same families spend 30% of their income on transportation to and from work leaving them with just $35 a week for everything else.
In the winter it is a struggle to stay alive as many people die from the extreme temps that dip to 10. This is a huge contrast to the summer highs that top 100 every day. Daily life is a struggle for these families and it can be seen from the minute you arrive at their land. These families live in third world conditions using out houses for bathrooms and lacking basic utilities like running water.
To make a difference in their lives of these families living in Juarez Mexico right next to El Paso Texas come on a trip with Casas por Cristo. We offer volunteer opportunities all year. For more information go to www.casasporcristo.org and sign up today!

  • Great Work! I am part of a group called Operacion Hogar that build houses in Juarez as well. Due to the past violence many groups have stopped coming, but the need for help has not decreased. I just got back from my 4th trip last week and I can say once again it was a transformative experience worth anyone's time. Get involved to help our neighbors today!
