Thank you for posting this! I'm glad we had a better version of this vid. posted. Have always loved this tune, from the year I was 1 years old, 1964. WGRF, 97 Rock the Classic Rock station in Buffalo, NY asks us for our musical guilty pleasures, this is definitely one of mine!
Interesting seeing Jan Berry leave on the sidewalk surfboard as they called the "Skateboard" with it's stationary wheels ~ It was usually Dean who used it in their shows ~ He generally played the clown to Jan's straight man routine
The Beach Boys did a live cover of it, but the sogn was written by Don Altfeld, Jan Berry and Roger Christian. For years, the songwriting credits were only given to Altfeld and Christian. Jan, as a favor to Don and Roger, left himself out of the writers credits. Only recently before Rogers death did Jan ask to be re-included and they both signed off on it to agree to add Jan back in. RIP to both Jan Berry & Roger Christian.

I actually remember watching this when it was originally broadcast. Dean Torrence was/is one cool California mofo!
