@vancouburgh...Speed Skating is a AWESOME sport and stands out very High for Me!....Believe in yourself and dont listen to any negative or so called "Realistic" comments...Make your own magic!....There is no Statues for realistic thinkers But plenty for People that thought Big!....It took one Man to believe that we can walk on the Moon!....Believe in your dream!

@vancouburgh u need alot of commitment, you probably wont make olympics, but if u stick to the sport maybe u could be good, but miracles do happen, I know this guy called kevin jagger who skates a 40 second 500 in his first season of skating (long track).

Speed skating is an amazing sport but it takes time and practice!! but for sure go for it!!!

@vancouburgh speed skating takes time and commitment you wont be able to pick it up in a few years and most definatley not go to the olympics

Been speed skating since I was 4 and still loving it. Currently training at the Calgary oval. Best sport in the world. Great Video!!!!!

@vancouburgh Find a club near you and get started A.S.A.P! If you catch off season, stay fit with inline, cycling, and running, and find any online information on technique you can. Good luck, and maybe we'll see each other there. ;)

I've been thinking about starting speed skating. I'm 15 years old and i would want to compete in the next Olympics in Russia. does anyone have advice?
