@mywrathofgrapes I'm sure he knows about the enslavement of the Irish, and of Native Americans as well as the Africans, and many other oppressed peoples who worked in this country in chains. But considering his existentialist philosophy and the fact that he has spoken out against slavery and racial injustice in all of its forms against all people (not just Africans), you seem to be missing the message if you feel offended that he doesn't always mention the Irish in his speeches.

i feel like this asshole has no clue that there were also irish slaves in american slavery as well...kind of ignorant

His intellectual fetish which panders to homosexuals is a fault of conformity, Even this otherwise prophetic man is shackled to Princeton's ''herd of 'independent minds'....homosexuals are not yet fully alive because they give no children back in gratefulness to the world. They turn in on themselves and give no future. We must love all but not be fooled by the academic zeitgeist.

This was deep, especially the part about the mothers death. This speech is a textbook example and manifestation of Philosophy, what it is, and why it's so important to all people.
Deep. Very Deep. "You Are the Most Human When You Stand In Front Of Your Mother's Grave".
