Great take! I wonder if businesses think of Social Media as a "flash in the pan", that it's not going to be around for very long, and so why bother. WRONG! It's a real and true way to market to people. It's a different approach than email marketing, but it can be successful as DELL and other businesses have found out. To the business world - "Try something NEW!"
Loved the take-away POV, Jason. I agree with you, and appreciated Brogan's commenting about reaching outside your verticals to connect in other industries, and getting the various 'tribes' together. Still, even though I see the same faces over and over, I still learn alot from my peers here, and almost always walk away having gained some value or new contact.
