King BMX Stunt Show Center Hill Refuge Skate Park Meridian,Mississippi.
Recently we visted Meridian , Mississippi to put on a show for Peavey . While in Mississippi we visted this skate park . Thanks Libby the guys had fun.

Centerhill Refuge Skatepark, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. We were established in 2005 with the vision of providing youth with a place that they could call their own 'refuge'. Youth need positive direction in life. There are a lot of people who can tell them what NOT to do, but few who can tell them the CAN. Many are dropping out of school because the school system doesn't have the time, money, or staff to help them with their academic or behavioral problems. Unless they are involved in team sports, the local community shows very little support for these kids. Their families are too busy trying to work and pay bills, as well as deal with life's daily drama. Many kids are just trying to find out who they are, or want to be. It isn't unusual to talk to one of these kids and find out that they lack the knowledge of positive choices.

We just want to provide youth with a place that is gives them a safe place to hang out, fellowship with one another, and share ideas and dreams. Our educational and career enhancement area will offer them access to internet, educational material, and homework assistance. This program is about peer support and mentoring. Youth who have had academic achievement in a particular subject, and would like to earn scholarship money, can sign up for tutoring someone.

We support staying in school, and getting that HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA! If staying in school is impossible, then we will help with finding alternatives in finishing high school. Each situation is unique, as so are the kids. Parents, teachers, preachers, youth-directors, relatives, EVERYONE, are welcome, and encouraged to help us out. Volunteers and guest speakers are always needed.

Skateboarding is how this facility began, and will continue to be a part of our recreation. Skateboarding is not just a sport. It is an outlet for skaters. They get personal satisfaction in mastering the skill, and physical challenge. Skateboarding is a peer supported activity, and NOT a team sport. It takes concentration, dedication, and perseverance. This is very similar to the approach on life.

Mississippi! the worst state ever to live in! lived here my whole life...don't come here it blows!!! no bmx scene whatsoever!! Very very little skating in fact.
