Unemployed learn how to find a job at Laid Off Camp

Rising unemployment has laid-off workers taking their future into their own hands at LaidOffCamp. At the un-conference unemployed and nontraditionally employed people gathered for a day for an attendee-driven conference with trainings and an agenda that was created in the morning and which occurred immediately thereafter. Although this may seem untraditional, this crowd-sourcing approach delivered a useful conference filled with great trainers. The laid-off people leveraged the knowledge of each others experiences to improve their ability to better pursue their next jobs. LaidOffCamp was founded in January 2009 by Chris Hutchins and now they are being scheduled at major cities across the USA. The event has also emerged as a tremendous opportunity for employers to find an abundance of high-quality job candidates who have been laid-off due to the economic downturn.
