Stay back on heels and butt up to engage hamstrings from start. Catch weight on shoulders, not wrists.

  • Interesting starting position. Very Russianesk.

  • That's very perceptive of you. My mentor, Istvan Javorek, is from Romania. The high starting position engages the hamstrings throughout the movement, which many athletes neglect.

  • @nekcrank This is not Russianesk, if you watch the top lifters in the world do power clean, their pull is exactly the same they just use lower weight, thus catching it higher. Consult other videos at the very least. Russians around the world have put their head down in shame for that comment.

  • Hip brush

  • i like the starting position its different

  • this is meant as constructive criticism:

    -watch the early arm bend

-the shoulders should stay in front when you're attempting the second pull (of course they get back when you explode), they already move back once the bar is past the knees

    Good luck!
