Arc the lad I was really short and is nothing special, II is far superior.

btw, I love choco's sidequest in II, she is insanely strong and I love her ^^ awesome character

I also liked III personally. It was quite funny. I forgot whom choco is. Been ages since I played II.

The true ATL trilogy was a work of art. The plot was a lot more in depth then a simple 'save the world from evil' idea, especially with the bombshell they drop in the last fight of ATL II, basically saying 'It's all your fault'. A powerful, and emotion grabbing ending. I too, am a sucked for games with sad endings. The glimmer of hope really makes it a powerful ending scene.

It's so depressing that when people hear the name 'Arc The Lad' now-a-days all they think about are the recent game, which just could not compare. The magic the trilogy held for me is just awe inspiring. And I think

*SPOILERS! MAJOR MAJOR FOR ATLII*

It possibly had the saddest ending since Lufia 2 for me.  I love an RPG with a bittersweet ending.
